Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains what information Sellstreets collects when shopkeepers, suppliers and their staff use our business app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Sellstreets (“we”, “us”) provides software that helps shops and suppliers sell online and in store: product and stock management, point of sale, orders, invoices, accounts and an online storefront. This policy covers the Sellstreets Business app on Android and iOS, the website at sellstreets.com and the related services (together, the “Service”).
Your shoppers use a separate Sellstreets customer app and storefront, which has its own privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, mobile number, email address, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form) and role (shopkeeper, supplier or staff member).
- Business details: shop or company name, address, GST number, opening hours, logo, banners and storefront content.
- Business records you create: products, prices, stock, customers, suppliers, purchase orders, sales, invoices, expenses, payments, coupons and support messages.
- Staff details you add: names, contact details and permissions of your employees.
- Photos and files you upload, such as product images, shop images and documents.
Information collected when you use the app
- Location (only with your permission): used to set your shop’s position on the map so nearby customers can find it. You can deny it and type your address instead.
- Camera (only with your permission): used to scan product barcodes and take product photos. Images leave your phone only when you choose to upload them.
- Notifications: a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can alert you about new orders, payments and stock.
- Device and usage data: app version, device type, operating system, IP address, crash information and pages or screens used. Our website uses Google Analytics for this.
Information from others
- Orders, messages and return requests that your customers send to your shop.
- Payment status from our payment provider, Razorpay, when you pay for a subscription.
3. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To run the Service: show your products in your storefront, take orders, produce invoices and reports, and sync data between your devices and staff.
- To process subscription payments and send billing invoices.
- To send service messages such as order alerts, password resets and important changes. We do not send marketing without your consent.
- To provide customer support.
- To keep the Service safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it, using aggregated data where possible.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your business records to advertise to your customers.
5. Your customers' data
When your customers order from you, you receive their name, phone number and delivery address so you can fulfil the order. You are responsible for using that information only to serve them and for following the law that applies to you. We process this data on your behalf to provide the Service.
6. Payments
Subscription payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and are not stored on our servers. We keep a record of the payment amount, status and reference number.
7. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, uploaded files are stored privately, and access to systems is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and sign out of devices you no longer use. You can sign out of all devices from your account settings.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices and payment records, kept for the period Indian tax and accounting law requires) and backups, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
9. Your choices and deleting your account
- You can view and update most of your information in the app at any time.
- You can turn off location, camera and notification permissions in your phone’s settings. Some features will then not work.
- You can ask for a copy of your data or for corrections by contacting us.
To delete your account, open Settings → Delete account in the app, or go to sellstreets.com/delete-account, and confirm with your password. Deletion happens at once: your personal details are erased and you are signed out everywhere. Deleting a shopkeeper or supplier account also stops its plan and AutoPay, takes its storefront offline and removes staff access. Orders still in progress must be finished first.
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
